POLL: Why is saying racist black jokes worse than saying jokes that degrade women?

Bernadette Roel: I agree with you; I think people shouldn't say "I love you!" if they don't meant it!!

Porfirio Cahall: Young People Ask . . .Young Datingâ€"What’s the Harm?“Lately, some of the boys at school have been asking me out or to be their girlfriend.”â€"Becky, 11 years old.“Most of the kids in our school date. In fact, it is not unusual to see boys and girls kissing right in the hallways.”â€"Liana, a 10th-grade student.MANY youths begin to date at a very young age. The media promote this practice as normalâ€"as if it were harmless recreation. Twelve-year-old Oneyda relates: “Almost everyone in school has a boyfriend or a girlfriend.” A young woman named Jenifer recalls: “I remember kids in the third grade who were going steady.” She adds: “I started to feel the pressure to date when I was 11 years old.”Understandably, then, if you are not dating someone, you may feel left out. Indeed, you may even get teased and ridiculed for not ! doing so. Feeling that she was too young to date, Jenifer turned down boys who asked her out. Their reaction? Jenifer recalls: “They made fun of me and joked about it.” No one likes to be ridiculed. But should you date just because others are doing so? Just what is dating? And what purpose does it serve? What Is Dating?‘We’re not dating. We’re just friends,’ many youths claim, even though they are spending a lot of time with someone of the opposite sex. But whatever you call itâ€"dating, going together, or just seeing each otherâ€"when a boy and a girl single each other out and start spending time together socially, more than friendship is usually involved. And dating does not have to be in person. Discussions in Internet chat rooms, on the telephone, through the mail, or by E-mail can also be forms of dating. The question is, Just how serious is it to spend time almost exclusively with someone of the opposite sex?Datingâ€"The DangersAt Proverbs 30:19, the Bible s! peaks of “the way of an able-bodied man with a maiden.” Th! is expression suggests that male-female relationships tend to follow a pattern. When both parties are mature and hold to godly morals, dating can lead to love and, eventually, to honorable marriage. After all, God created man and woman to be attracted to each other. But what if you are not old enough to handle marriage? By dating prematurely, you are setting yourself up for a fall. Why? Because if you spend a lot of time around someone of the opposite sex, it is only natural that your emotions will become aroused. Before you realize it, you look forward to seeing that one. When you are not together, you find yourself thinking about him or her. All too often, though, the feelings are one-sidedâ€"and someone gets a broken heart. And even when the feelings are mutual, frustration and heartbreak still result when one or the other is not mature enough or old enough to get married. Really, where can such a relationship go? A Bible proverb says: “Can a man rake together fire into! his bosom and yet his very garments not be burned?”â€"Proverbs 6:27.

Chris Coggins: I am a fan of his words. I own a t-shirt with his likeness upon it.

Tillie Wynott: it will get better junior year, i agree 100%...

Jestine Osumi: Remember: you're like what, 13? So I mean chill out some.... you have a LONNNNNG road ahead of you.Don't let the stupid stuff that people do bother you so much, my child! Relax. It is THEY that are acting silly, and YOU are the one all worked up over it. Just ignore them and in the long run, you'll be right and they'll be the ones looking ridiculous....

Roosevelt Pendill: Because sexism isn't as much of an issue in today's world as racism is...

Mee Blumenfeld: i so agree with you on this if you dont mean it den dont even say it

Loise Mausser: That 6th answer was halarious!!!XD

Donte Hamme: Come on, come on, come on now touch me babe. Can't you see that I am not afraid? What was that promise that you! made? Now I'm gonna love you 'till the heavens stop the rain.I'm gonna ! love you 'till the stars fall from the sky,for you and I.Yeah.... the man was a poet and a genius... even though he was so doped up he hardly knew what planet he was on. ;)

Dana Russian: One that doesnt come bursting through walls scaring little children.

Roselee Mczeal: I thank jeebus that you know who Jim Morrison is!

Keven Woodington: people are over sensitive. that's why i hate talking about racism. to many double standards people get all bent out of shape over the small things related to racism while over looking the more important ones.

Karie Mavle: both cherry and tropical punch. I like all the red ones:) haha

Esteban Faggett: i think love is overrated

David Kuper: My friends say Cherry, I say Tropical Punch.Which do you like?

Providencia Serpe: Because unlike jokes about women, those will get your *** kicked

Chanda Wittwer: Also, I belive you can truly only love once because true love never ends.

Jayson Brod: ye! a.....real bad like.

Jed Porada: I'm a freshman, kay?MY BIGGEST PET PEEVE?I can't stand it when people in my grade say 'i love you' to their boyfriends and girlfriends after dating for like, 2 days. AHH its so ridiculous because they don't REALLY mean it! They break up a few months/weeks/days later. It's like...you really loved them, huh?Ergh! I decided a long time ago I'm waiting to say 'iloveyou' until I am absolutely positively SURE I am in love with him.it's just stupid when they do, though. because they're just saying it because they think it's what they're 'supposed' to do because they're dating. It's ridiculous. What do you think?

Lucien Hellerman: The cherry

Jeannine Vassie: Indeed I am. You may be drunk again but you you speak the truth. As a matter of fact I posted a question a couple of days ago and used a Doors clip you may enjoy. Check it.The Doors "Love Me Two Times/Texas Radio and the Big Beat"http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Aj1sd! ...

Arden Strachn: Racism is worse IMO.

Perry Deshazior: I ! ADORE Jim Morrison...in fact my son bought me and artist's pencil sketch of him that hangs in my family room.....I would so have done him.....gave a bow job whilst he sang to me...Oh God....

Joel Feagler: i actually am.ive listened to his music and listened to his poetry.ive even seen the movie about him and read his writings.he was a great thinker, and i think that the world needs more jim morrisons.

Dionna Doyel: because woman can be any race

Carter Dewater: I know what you mean, I have had a couple of people say that to me that I only dated once, that does get rather old, it is almost like they are really desperate and trying to trap someone into a relationship. Now if someone is dating the same person for a while, say 3-4 months, then it would not be a bad thing to say I love you, as long as you feel it and mean it. =)

Nikita Schroepfer: red!

Iris Shawcroft: Yes I am a Jim fan. I love "Roadhouse Blues".

Hilma Pestano: my niece used ! to do that.. she would date a guy for like a day or two next thing i knew she was telling him she loved him then a day or two or a week or two later they had broken up..it was like wtf??

Luis Mellon: black people can't take a joke

Virgil Loatman: because people are just jerks

Marcellus Yoshimori: There are racist jokes and racial jokes. If you can tell your black joke to a black person without offending them, it is not racist. If you can tell your joke about a woman to a woman, without offending her, it is not sexist.Three ethnics went into a bar. The bartender said, "What is this, a joke?"The only thing worse than a male chauvinist is a woman who won't do as she is told....Show more

Keven Drumgole: The flavored kindLMAO person above me. f*cking hilarious xD

Emeline Albracht: i so agree with you i hate it

Carolin Southers: I am. Don't get me wrong; the man was a raving drug addict with all of the responsibleness of a five year old...but! he was also an amazing poet, and in reading anything he wrote, you got! the sense that he was a man that somehow KNEW things...things that were far beyond his wisdom of 27 years old. POLL; Do you agree, or am I just drunk on a Saturday night again?

Jinny Dronen: Absolutely! I agree. I also agree that you're probably just drunk on Saturday night again.

Clementina Collelo: yep long time fan listing to roadhouse blues at this very moment

Alise Rutgers: I have been a huge fan since the age of fourteen (er, thirty years ago).I would say that he was more of an alcoholic than a drug addict (his wife was a drug addict, and he hated that), but what has always bothered me is that he was a bit of a racist.I love most of his writings, although some were just OK. I prefer his songs, as the melodies he put them to, make them that much better.

Stephnie Patout: dude, just stop talking. i guarantee you both of those jokes will be gone by tomorrow

Porfirio Cahall: cuz everyone is so uptight about blacks and they could care less! about women

Jules Ashbach: grape!

Cyndy Grimes: the new clear kind.but between those two.. the cherry.
