What happened to large Catholic families?

Frederick Mccoach: too expensive!!

Emile Midgley: They finally woke up and figured out they've been getting bad advice for a LONG time. Any religion that FORCES you to pay for membership is crooked. IMO. They want you to have more children whether you can afford it or not. All they care about is more paying members.

Dallas Bartolini: Catholic families on average are still larger than non-Catholic families. And newer NFP techniques are more effective. And, let's face it, many Catholics are just Catholic In Name Only.

Curt Broadhead: The pill is what happened.

Armanda Hertel: I guess more Catholics are ignoring the Vatican/Pope and using contraceptives.

Alonso Crehan: Rising living expenses.

Arlen Hamper: Could be this:The cost of raising a child has increased in the last year, according to a report from the Department of Agriculture. For a middle-income family to raise a child born in 2015 through the age of 17, the cost of rearing a ch! ild has hit $233,610, according to the report.Thats just ONE child...Show more

Lorelei Lilburn: Birth control and modern medicine.

Bryan Avinger: They learned that large families were impractical.
