Mitsuko Manne: You can probably cut back on the detergent a little, are you on city water or well water? If it is well water it could be some rust in the water. Also a good fabric softener helps remove the soap from the clothes, the cheaper fabric softeners are watered down.
Kaylee Schmittou: If you truly have soft water, you are lucky!!! This means you don't have to spend so much on laundry detergent, etc. Cut your laundry detergent down to 1/4 or 1/2--whatever works. If you continue to get the yellow, you have iron, which is a hard metal. DO NOT use bleach, as iron (Fe+) has a positive charge, and chlorine bleach (Cl-) has a negative charge, and attracts the iron to the clothing. Use Whink Iron Away to get the yellow out, then use Biz in the wash to keep them white....Show more
Coleman Senn: Use less soap. A washer repair man told me you can use half the amount ststed on the soap container and it will clean just as well and rinse better.
