I have a health and fitness question...pleese answer!!?

Jon Bergmeier: Weight and height and the classic insurance tables are not a good measure of "fat" and health. If she's a fitness freak that's probably an indication that she's at least moderately healthy, but the only good way to determine if she's "fat" is to get a body fat analysis done. There are lab methods (like dunking in a water tank) that cost $50 bucks or so that are very accurate. But you can also buy an electronic body fat scale for $50 - $100 dollars that isn't as accurate as the tank ... but still pretty accurate. Avoid the caliper methods, the insurance tables (height weight) and the BMI (Body Mass Index - Really just an adaptation of the height weight insurance tables) ... those are 60 -80% accurate at BEST. The scale is about 95 - 98% accurate and the tank is about 98 - 99% accurate.Depending on a variety of factors a woman would typically have between 15 - 25% body fat if healthy and athletic but not anorexic. To answer your question ... she may be sli! ghtly overweight at 122 and 5'2" if she has a slender build ... but that is far from way overweight. Get a bodyfat scale to be sure .. and keep up the workouts!...Show more

Agustina Stimmel: the month has 4 weeks!!in three weeks i eat very healthy tuna salads ,rice and vegetables!i dont eat meat at all!!at night i drink only water!!am a swimmer!but when am in period days i stop swimming, sometimes i dont eat and i sleep or i eat sweets and chips!it depends!as a result i lose or put 1,5 kg every 3 weeks!!is this healthy;

Adan Alipio: ?????????????

Tom Romer: maybe because your nervous and you thinking about it if not go to the doctor

Thurman Buege: not fat at all

Hilma Pestano: Calorie counting is important as this helps us to keep a track of the amount of energy we are consuming, if we consume to much our body stores the excess as weight. My wife and I use a fantastic healthly Meal Replacement system called Herbalife I can organise to send yo! u a free health analysis if you would like. This will provide ! you with the expertise to reduce your calorie intake whilst still enjoying food and keeping nutrition.

Joaquin Dronko: that sumtimes happens 2 meeh i tink itz kinda normal but if its not then maybe your nervous even though you arent :p

Irvin Guiles: Talk to the school nurse. she's qualified to handle these matters.

Miguel Koczela: no i do not think this is to fat that is almost the same weight as my aunt and she weighs120 pounds and she does not look fat.and her height is 5.1 so no i do not think she is fat. if she does tell her she is so wrong tell her to look in the mirror. that is all i can say.♥

Toya Braskett: Honestly i can relate to her I'm also short so I have to keep a low weight or else im overweight so im constantly on a diet because I want to look like all my other friends who are fit. Take a look at her if she looks a bit heavier than everyone else at your table let her diet but if she isn't eating than talk to her about it everyone sho! uld eat tell her I recommend a 1200 calorie diet

Luke Kosch: restless leg syndrome

Charlotte Bryar: its called restless leg syndrome and it is when your leg can not stop shaking because of this syndrome

Susan Rambo: Her mom told her to loose weight

Booker Warlick: No ,She is not fat ..and tell her to stop thinking she is fat ( overweight ).....

Alvaro Oare: there is nervozism even when you are not thinking about anything or you are not nervous about anythink. Some people are just used to it,they do it when they are bored or worried about smt.But it can be something that has to do with your leg too lol.Its only mental

Eldridge Rieves: NOO She isn't fat. She could become annorexic thinking like that too.

Janean Guz: If she is a fitness freak, as you said, she is probably quite muscular and muscles weigh more than fat. If a young woman was not muscular, she might be considered slightly chubby at 5ft 2in. and 122 lbs but not if she's f! irm and toned.

Raye Tredennick: Talk to her mom when she isn't ar! ound.Tell her about how you are worried for your friend and you want her moms help to help her.

Ninfa Asby: That depends on her age. 122 lbs is not that fat for 5'2", but yeah that isn't washboard stomache either. She could loose 10+ pounds. Running, crunches, cardio, pilates, etc. should do the trick.

Tom Romer: I still do not feel that it is healthy because of the lack of meat. Lack of meat equates to lack of protein. While some may argue that the protein can be replenish through supplements, how else better than to consume neutrients through natural food? Rice and vegetables provide lotsa carbohydrates and fibre which are digested via acids. Meat on the other hand provides complete proteins digested via alkalis. Taking out meat entirely is not quite beneficial to you. However, what you can do is - limit the amount of meat intake instead of taking it out totally. For example, you can have a healthy lunch of vegetarian intake while dinner consist of a light dos! e of meat.

Gladys Worthing: no she is not fat. you can be up to 135-140 and be normal weight at that height. its always important to work out but she shouldnt because she thinks shes fat..

Lynn Melbourne: It might be the beginning of a seigure!!the person who answered that your wrong :)you cant even spell "seguire" xD

Chi Alfero: It might be the beginning of a seigure!!

Caterina Yeargan: am 51 kg 1,64 cm, but that week i became 53kg lol and i get so sad!!am thinking of the chance to avoid stopping swimming or drink some vitamins.what do u thinkthnks for answering

Torri Tippey: haha mine does that too. like especially when i'm leaning on it or something. anyway i don't know. maybe it's just your body's way of telling you to take some weight off of your leg (i suppose that's hard when you're sitting or laying down) or you have crazy muscle spasms. haha

Norine Lomonte: sure why not

Maurice Breuning: yes of course

Dale Mccoun! : she's actually not overweight..maybe she can tone her body down inste! ad of loosing the weights.

Jimmie Doerfler: I have this friend who's the perfect weight. She's short which makes her appearance look bigger but she still looks skinny. She's "dieting" and her mom is only packing fruits and vegetables in her lunch. Today she told me that she ate french fries and felt fat. She also called herself obese. About two times I've forced her to eat something other than fruits and vegetables even though she says no at first, but then I just shove it in her hand. Her lunches consist of carrots, apples, celery and others. Today she had a salad and an apple and she only ate the apple. At first I was glad that she was at least eating, but now I'm afraid that it will lead to more serious issues such as anorexia or bulimia. I don't want that to happen so I've done all the convincing that I can that she is the perfect weight and I'm not sure if I should be forcing her to eat "fat" foods. Is that bad to do that? Please give me some advice on what to do!! Thanks in advance...Show more

Felipa Nosis: ummmmm..... yeah! im 5'5 110 and im over weeight, so she def. is!

Floy Fague: listen to me...... what you are goind through is perfectly normal....NORMAL!!!!! Your body has a way of adjusting itself as you eat more, exercise more, or rest more. 3-5 pounds up and down throughout a week is normal.....make sure you weighing yourself EVERYTIME in the same manner...say.......in the morning before you eat....just as you get up....that way you can get a clear view of your situation without other variables interfereing.Always remember that the more sodium you take in....the more your body will retain water...so it is possible that the chips and sweets could be doing that......Water retention is not a bad thing....it is just your bodies way of making sure it has enough hydration to metabloize the food intake. Vitamins are a great way to supplement your daily routine...go for it..... and the swimming....not a bad idea.....a! ny type of exercise is great for your body...DO eat more MEAT if you ca! n...(tuna, chicken) ...it is great source of protein and it will also help with using up that extra water your body wants to store.example: 3oz tuna for lunch.....skinless chicken breast for dinner.....But, do NOT let it own you......Good luck.http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/Christian_Wei......Show more

Jude Colbenson: No, she's obsessed with being thin.

Wally Gower: Hi there,At 5'2" and 122 pounds, your friend falls within normal range according to the height/weight fitness chart as listed in the resource box below. Your friend must realize that she is not fat and she needs to begin to accept her body as it is. It is fine to exercise and work out, but tell her not to become obsessed with it. Too many girls compare themselves to really skinny models (who aren't healthy) and think they're fat. Don't let your friend do that. The average weight for someone of her height with a medium frame is between 118 - 132 pounds. Let her know she's officially "not fat" an! d to start enjoying herself!Blessings,Mike...Show more

Salvatore Walls: Theres not a time where my legs dont shake. Why is it shaking? Im not nervous or anything. It ALWAYS shakes.
