Buster Buchko: the word is commit. if you are over 18 generally you can go to a hospital emergency room and check your self into the psychiatric ward if you under 18 a parent or gaurdian must do it. or the police or courts can have you commited. chec! k with the legal and mental health in your area. self commitment is generally best then you have some control over your stay if the legal system commits you its up to them how long.
