Hermina Ketring: Yes most vegetarians eat fish. I can`t figure it out, you have to club a fish once they catch it, in order to kill it. Wouldn`t this also be cruelty to an animal

Andrew Sinatra: Vegetarians do not eat any animals whatsoever. Vegans take it a step further and do not eat anything that comes from an animal such as eggs, milk, cheese, butter, honey, etc. And they usually don't wear wool or leather or buy products tested on animals.I think it's great that you want to help on any level. Don't worry so much about putting labels on yourself. Just start eliminating one thing at a time and see how you do. Any steps you take will make a difference on some level. Good Luck!...Show more

VeganVegans do not eat meat of any kind and also do not eat eggs, dairy products, or processed foods containing these or other animal-derived ingredients such as gelatin. Fish always have been and always will be animals. Some people do have a very narrow interpretation of the word 'animal' and seem to believe that it only refers to mammals (other than humans). They couldn't be further from the truth. 'Animal' (with a few exceptions) refers to just about any living thing which is not either a plant, alga or fungus. In other words, insects ar! e animals, spiders are animals, sponges are animals, worms are animals, lobsters are animals, snails are animals, etc....Show more
