Does this quotations or anything?

Efren Clankscales: It does need quotations, though I'd use single ('these') rather than double ("these") - what it doesn't need are the commas either side.According to Merriam-Webster Dictionary, the word 'ranch' has six definitions.

Hal Palowoda: That depends on how you are going to use it. If, for example, someone has a city lot but has planted two fruit trees and a zucchini on it, they might invite someone to come and visit their 'ranch'. The quotes round the word indicate that it is being used in a non-traditdional manner, or in a satirical manner. If, on the other hand, they were talking about a real ranch, there would be no need for quote marks.
